Marketplace Pricing

All projects are booked in dedicated time blocks—no juggling, no drawn-out timelines, no handoffs to junior staff. You get our full attention from start to finish. You get flexibility, speed, and clear outcomes.

We work with clients of all sizes, from solo founders to larger teams with internal stakeholders. Our two core services on the Squarespace Marketplace are:

  • Live, self-scheduled working sessions. These kickoff with a Zoom meeting to clarify goals and project requirements—you’re welcome to stay on or let us work independently. These sessions are ideal for focused design fixes, SEO help, audits, strategy, or training.

  • Flat-fee websites, redesigns, and larger SEO projects. Whether you’re starting from scratch, moving platforms, or investing in a full content overhaul, we handle website design, complex migrations, structured content planning, and technical SEO improvements. An online presence isn’t just about dropping images and text into a template—it’s about smart decisions and execution that drives results.

You’ll see detailed options below—including Zoom sessions, half-day projects, and full-site builds.

Important: If your site needs visibility in Google, see the section below on how to verify SEO skills of any marketer you’re considering.

  • In a single session, we can usually cover a lot of ground—depending on your goals and site complexity. Topics we often address include:

    • Redesigns, refreshes, or layout improvements

    • SEO help (on-page or off-page)

    • Blog, store, or basic member area setup

    • Email marketing or subscription tools

    • Interactive maps or scheduling setup

    • Domain configuration problems

    • Strategy, planning, or expert second opinion

    • Help with moving from Squarespace 7.0 to 7.1

    Session types:

    • 1.5 hours – $500

    • 2.5 hours – $725preferred for most small projects

We make real updates during the Zoom session—not just recommendations. See reviews below for examples of what we can accomplish quickly.

Need help deciding? If you have a larger site or complex needs, a Half-Day or Full-Day session may be more appropriate. See the FAQ for guidance.

    Booking steps:

    1. Select a date/time

    2. Watch for your appointment confirmation and 99designs invoice

  • Most 99designs project requests can be fully addressed in a single half-day or full-day session. We encourage you to read client reviews to see how much progress is possible in just one working sprint.

We regularly complete in a day what other providers spread across weeks.

These project sessions are focused intensives where we implement high-impact design and/or SEO improvements. No fluff—just real results.

    What we can tackle:

    • Site design and layout improvements

    • Setup or refinement of courses, member areas, or gated content

    • On-page SEO fixes and keyword strategy

    • Structural updates or full page overhauls

    • Copywriting and messaging alignment

    • Indexation, metadata, and technical cleanup

    • Google tools setup (Search Console, Analytics, GBP, etc.)

    • Content pruning or new page creation

    • Off-page SEO

No two projects are alike. You’re welcome to define the session goals—or we can audit and prioritize based on what matters most.

    Session options:

    • Half-day – $1100

    • Full-day – $2100

We kickoff with a Zoom call, then you’re welcome to stay on or let us take the reins. Either way, the focus is on execution—not just advice.

Need help choosing a session length? See our FAQ for help selecting the right session based on your goals, site condition, or timeline.

Long-term support: One session is often enough. But if you need additional work—such as ongoing content development, competitor tracking, or regular design updates—we offer follow-up at a reduced rate and flexible length.

    Booking steps:

    1. Select a date/time

    2. Watch for your appointment confirmation and 99designs invoice

  • As a Squarespace Platinum Partner, our clients receive 25% off their first year of annual hosting.

We don’t sell packaged sites or add-on bundles. Every project is quoted based on scope—and every site is built for performance.

    • Very small sites or structure-only builds start around $1500

    • Most small business websites are $2700+ and include:

      • Expert SEO setup

      • Help with content structure and messaging

      • Domain pointing, sitemap submission, Google Search Console setup

      • Staff training and launch support

    • Larger content sites, integrations, advanced design, or copywriting will vary depending on complexity

We keep these projects efficient, collaborative, and flat-fee.

Next step: Schedule a quick call to get a tailored quote.

On a tight launch budget? Consider starting with a DIY Squarespace site, then booking a shorter working session—we can improve the design, optimize SEO, and train you as we go.

  • Migrating to Squarespace or redesigning an existing site requires technical precision to avoid SEO damage and ensure long-term performance gains.

    We specialize in:

    • Moving complex or legacy sites to Squarespace

    • Redesigning outdated sites with modern UX and improved content structure

    • Preserving and improving existing SEO during transition

    • Fixing past migrations that caused traffic drops or indexing issues

Projects start at $3700 and vary based on site size, complexity, and goals.

As a Squarespace Platinum Partner, you’ll also receive 25% off your first year of annual hosting.

Next step: Schedule a quick call to get a tailored quote.

Already migrated or redesigned your site but lost traffic? Book a shorter working session above—we can help diagnose and recover SEO losses from poor migrations or flawed rebuilds.

  • If you're still getting your business off the ground or working with limited resources, the smartest move is to learn the basics yourself—especially when it comes to SEO. Many low-cost providers (often selling “bonus-filled” packages or advertising vague certifications) don’t offer more than what you can pick up in a few focused days of self-education.

The digital marketing space is unregulated, and we’re frequently hired to fix problems caused by earlier, low-cost providers—which makes the true cost of a website or SEO much higher in the long run.

If you’re just starting out, you can:

    • Launch a basic DIY site with a clear message and clean structure

    • Avoid plugins or SEO gimmicks

    • Use our blog and free resources to refine your efforts

    • When ready, book a short Zoom for an expert review and polish session

This gives you a low-risk, high-impact starting point—with real help when you need it.

When building your site, don’t stress over small design issues like spacing quirks or font inconsistencies—those are easy to address in a short session. And while surface details can matter, the biggest wins come from what’s underneath: clear structure, strong messaging, and strategic visibility.

Focus your time on questions like:

    • Is your content clear and organized?

    • Does your site reflect your business goals?

Client SEO Results

Collaborada is one of the few providers on the Marketplace whose own site generates meaningful organic traffic. If someone claims to know SEO but hasn’t applied it to their own site, that’s a problem. Real SEOs lead with proof—not promises. Learn more here.

No provider should guarantee results, but whether you work with us for 2 hours, 2 days, or 2 weeks, our goal is always increased positioning and better conversions for every client.

Why clients choose Collaborada:

  • Proven expertise. Founded in 2013 by a former technology consultant and systems analyst, Collaborada has helped thousands of businesses build, fix, and grow their businesses—from local shops to national brands. Learn more about us.

  • Leaders of 1:1 support. We introduced the Zoom working-session model now used by many providers. Squarespace’s Authorized Trainer program was modeled on our approach, and we were part of the original Squarespace Circle community.

  • Referred by Squarespace. Our work is trusted by Squarespace Customer Care, who have referred clients to us for advanced help with design, SEO, and strategy.

  • Straightforward guidance. Clients value our honesty. If something won’t work or isn’t worth your time or budget, we’ll say so—even if it isn’t what you want to hear.

  • No fluff. Just results. We focus on fast, effective execution. Read 99designs reviews to see what we accomplish in a single session.

  • Education. Your online presence involves more than “fixing the mobile layout” or “inserting keywords.” Every project includes practical training and strategic insight—so you leave with results and understanding.

How to Evaluate SEO Providers

The Marketplace doesn’t verify SEO expertise. Anyone can say it, but most can’t back it up. At Collaborada, we focus on results you can actually see—starting with our own. If someone is selling SEO services but can’t show results for their own business, that’s a red flag. 🚩

Here’s how to verify marketing performance:

  1. Traffic: Use a free traffic checker to see if their own site gets real visitors. SEO is proven through execution.

  2. CMS: Check which CMS they use. If they don’t use Squarespace, ask how familiar they are with it.

  3. Certifications: There’s no such thing as an “SEO certification.” These are made-up by third-party SEO tools to market their own products via affiliates. Anyone suggesting they are “certified” is signaling a lack of real experience, not expertise. 🚩

    • Search for their name or brand. If their site isn’t at the top of the search results—or if they don’t have a website at all—that’s a red flag. 🚩

    • Check their traffic. Use a free traffic checker to look up their website. If someone’s offering SEO services, their own site should show it. No results? Keep looking.

    • Look at traffic distribution. If one page is responsible for most of their traffic, that's unstable—and not a good sign for a provider claiming to drive long-term growth.

    • Look for case studies. Check for real-world results. Look for case studies or detailed feedback from established businesses—not vague praise or generic testimonials. A strong provider should be able to show measurable outcomes tied to real work.

  • SEO services vary widely in depth and quality. Here’s what to watch for:

    • Tailored vs. templated. We offer 1:1 audits with implementation—not generic checklists. Many low-cost providers rely on templates that overlook your site’s actual needs.

    • Ad-first agencies. Be cautious of SEO providers who also sell ad management. Their real strategy is often to upsell you into high-cost, long-term ad campaigns.

    • No meeting = no insight. If a provider won’t meet with you directly, they’re likely not doing meaningful work.

    • Pre-bundled “packages.” These often include:

      1. Tasks already completed on your site

      2. Irrelevant services

      3. Items that could be handled in one session

    • “Backlinks” as a red flag. If backlinks are pitched as the main reason you’re not ranking—or sold as a fix—be skeptical. It’s outdated thinking at best, and predatory at worst. 🚩

What Makes Our SEO Service Different

We don’t sell bloated packages or drag clients through monthly retainers. We focus on what actually improves performance—and skip what doesn’t. We’re often brought in after other work hasn’t delivered.

  • Outcome-focused. We don’t deliver PDFs—we fix problems.

  • Fast + collaborative. You leave with fixes already in place.

  • No gimmicks. No software upsells, no inflated reports.

  • Holistic approach. We consider design, UX, content, SEO, business goals, and more.

  • AI forward. We help you future-proof your content and visibility.

  • Scalable support. Whether you need a quick second opinion or full-site overhaul, we adapt—from DIY coaching to full DIFM execution.

If you’re looking for clarity, speed, and results—you’re in the right place.

⚠️ Note: No one can guarantee rankings—but a customized, in-depth approach is far more effective than the outdated, checklist tactics used by most providers.

99designs Reviews

Clients trust our approach because it works.

“As a small business owner, I cannot stress how important it was for me to have a knowledgeable, transparent SEO expert walk me through an entire day of work that is crucial for the success of my business. I will definitely be working with Christine in the future. I cannot recommend her enough. The most effective use of a day in years.

“Excellent job. Works quickly. Christine undertook a complex project and dealt with it in an organized and creative way. Much appreciated. Highly recommend.”

“Christine Darby of Collaborada gained me SEO results that exceeded my expectations. My website was ranking on page three of a Google search and now it is right at the top of page one. Christine modestly underestimates the predicted outcomes of her SEO work. Her work is comprehensive, clearly explained, and ongoing. Equally valuable are Christine's magnificent instincts for improving the aesthetics of your website, as well as its clarity and accessibility to your end users. In short, she provides much more than simple SEO. All I can say is, Wow! Christine's expertise has absolutely been the best investment I have made in my website. Thank you, Christine and Collaborada!”

“Excellent to work with. Thorough, engaged for the entire meeting, and extremely knowledgeable in her area of expertise. I’ve already planned a second session!

“Christine is a great collaborator. She knows how to ask the right questions to find out what I think I need, and balances those insights with her own expertise in what makes for a strong website. At times she listens and follows; other times she leads. In both cases, she helps her client get to the right place. Together, we've solved issues and created features I didn't even know were needed. I'm really happy with my site. I'll work with her again.”

“Christine is an unbelievable talent! She helped me with my immediate issues and all of the issues I didn't even know I had. Christine is a fabulous communicator as well as educator. A true gem! There is nothing she could have done better.”

“Christine did an amazing job, helping me understand SEO and asked mindblowing questions that helped me push my business forward to the next level.”

“I highly recommend Christine!!! She built three websites for our company and we were extremely pleased with the outcome. I initially chose her because she is very personable and she is very easy to communicate with (from being reachable and responding to questions, etc). And ultimately I felt understood by her. She caught the vision of what we needed without making me fill out a long questionnaire (which other designers did and I still didn't feel they quite understood our needs). She is very knowledgeable in design + flow, building Squarespace from the ground up, redirecting domains, search engine optimization, among many other things. I also felt she was very creative and trusted her thought process and direction.”

Again an amazing experience with Christine. She's so into details without getting lost in them and has helped me so much with my website and getting it in a perfect fit. Thanks a lot!”

“Christine from Collaborada does not waste a minute during her session with you, and is very reasonably priced. She works fast and has a great deal of knowledge about local SEO. She improved my website almost instantaneously, but also gave me some useful homework assignments to continue improving on my own time. She even went beyond the scheduled session to make some extra improvements. I can't recommend her services highly enough.”

“Christine has great ideas! Her honest feedback and straightforward approach was exactly what I looked for. She knows what is important and why. I had a fantastic experience and will definitely work with her again.”

“My experience with Collaborada was great. Christine walked me through my entire site and pointed out opportunities for growth. She even followed up with me after the 2-hour audit with some additional tips to improve my site. Highly recommend.”

“Christine was amazing, everything was explained in an easy to understand way. I'm very thankful of her expertise."“

“Amazing! I worked with her on designing and launching a brand new website. She is someone you instantly build rapport with. The process could not have been easier and the results were impressive. She is extremely knowledgeable, easy to work with and a great teacher. I highly recommend her and plan on working with her again in the near future.”

“Christine was very hands-on and took my ideas to the next level.”

“Christine is AMAZING! She was able to walk me through the whole prosses of SEO for my website. I now feel confident with my website’s SEO thanks to her one-on-one approach. She truly is the real deal and has been around for a long time.”

“Christine was hugely helpful! We really appreciate her approach of showing us how to improve our SEO and teaching us the reasons why. We look forward to meeting with her again!”

“Christine has great ideas! Her honest feedback and straightforward approach was exactly what I looked for. She knows what is important and why. I had a fantastic experience and will definitely work with her again.”

Very professional, highly knowledgeable, a person who knows every small detail about how a website should look, very easy to work with, friendly and very respectful towards a project needs. I will work with her again in the future and will suggest to my friends.”

“Christine is superb to work with. She provides excellent information, gives insightful and relevant feedback, and is more than open to collaborative efforts. I would absolutely work with her again, and will!”

Outstanding designer, collaborator, and educator in composing the proper design and message for my site and business.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Marketplace FAQs

  • The best fit depends on a combination of your needs, your goals, and your budget. Longer sessions allow for more in-depth site design and setup, UX, blog strategy, keyword research, competitor analysis, training, or more complex issues. Many “SEO” projects also need a fair amount of design work.

All sessions include implementation of recommendations while we work.

The first 8 hours of any 99designs projects results in the same total fee, regardless of how scheduled. You are welcome to start with a shorter session, then determine if you need more time.

The 1.5-hour Zoom is good for tackling a pressing design issue or SEO question as it relates to your site. It is also a good starting point if you have a very limited budget, or need a professional second opinion, or just want to get acquainted with our approach. The 2.5-hour Zoom is a sweet spot for many small projects. A half-day project allows us to delve deeper into SEO strategy or design needs. And a full-day project offers a more comprehensive option to address your online presence.

Some clients simply want “how to get started” advice, while some prefer a full-service do-it-for-me approach. We are happy to train your team or do the work for you. Every initial engagement begins with a Zoom call.

    Some general guidelines:

    • If your existing site only has a few pages, the 1.5-hour Zoom is likely a good fit.

    • If you just launched a new local business, the 2.5-hour session is a good fit, but if budget is constrained we can work quickly through local SEO setup in a 1.5-hour session.

    • If you suspect your site needs quite a bit of updating, you might start with a half-day session.

    • If your local business has been around for a number of years, a half-day session is a good place to start.

    • If your organization has a full-time team of 3 or more, then a full-day session is often appropriate.

    • If your site relies on blog traffic to attract a national audience, book a full-day. Large blog overhauls are often multi-day projects. If you know you want more time, just let us know.

    • If you are a web designer seeking SEO training, schedule a 2.5 hour session or a half-day session.

    • If you are a web designer struggling with an isolated issue on a client site, book the 1.5 hour option.

    • If you aren’t sure if a half- or full-day is best, start with a half-day.

In general, the more time we spend together, the more value you get. That said, not every request requires “more time.” Longer sessions allow for a deeper dive into your unique needs and goals. However, the decision should ultimately align with your specific requirements and budget. The more resources you put into SEO, the greater ROI you'll see in the long run.

If you need a new website, migration, or massive content overhaul, book a quick call for a custom quote.

  • All first-time Marketplace projects require a minimum booking. After that, follow-up projects can be any scope or length.

Why the minimum? In our experience, sites that come through the 99designs platform often have underlying issues—poor structure, weak UX, keyword problems, or broken SEO foundations. A surface-level “spacing tweak” won’t help when larger issues are holding the site back.

But what if it really is a small change? If your site is already well-built, well-structured, converting users, and performing in search—then yes, you might just need a small tweak. That said, we still begin with our standard initial session. It provides space to fully understand your site, address the immediate need, and lay the groundwork for any future work or support.

  • This reflects the value of working with a senior-level professional who gets things right the first time. Many clients come to us after 1–2 failed attempts elsewhere. We focus on delivering clear, effective results — not trial-and-error.

Lower-cost providers on the platform may be less experienced or approaching projects with a different level of service. Our rate reflects deep expertise, efficiency, and the ability to resolve issues quickly and accurately.

  • It depends — every business is different. Here's how it typically breaks down:

    • Website Builds & Migrations: Our new sites are built for long-term performance. You shouldn’t need ongoing help unless you want support with content strategy or growth planning.

    • Design and SEO Projects: For small DIY or local sites, we often get everything in place during the first session. Larger sites may have more to tackle—if you’re not comfortable completing follow-up tasks yourself, we offer reduced-rate support based on your needs.

    • Content Strategy & Growth: If you’re targeting national traffic or relying on blogging, you may want ongoing guidance. We can train you (or your team) on how to blog effectively, plan content, and even use ChatGPT well.

    • Annual Check-Ins: Even the best-built sites benefit from occasional review. Consider a quick annual check-up—even for simple local sites—to stay current with best practices.

  • It depends. Most sites should already rank for their own brand name. If yours doesn’t—or if your homepage isn’t showing up with proper sitelinks—we can fix that.

Ranking for broader, non-brand keywords is more complex and depends on many factors:

    • Your business type and location

    • Website age and history

    • Keyword difficulty and competition

    • Content quality and publishing consistency

    • Technical SEO and site architecture

Some sites move very quickly in Google. Others take sustained effort over time. Keep in mind, search is changing. With tools like Google’s AI Overviews, traditional ranking isn't the whole story. We’ll help you focus on visibility where it matters for you.

If you’re trying to reach a national audience, you’ll need high-quality, original content. If content creation isn't feasible right now, we can also explore other growth strategies—like advertising, social media, or strategic partnerships—but our focus is always competitive SEO.

Why? Because businesses that don’t generate organic traffic eventually become dependent on ads or external platforms.

We can give you a personalized timeline and strategy recommendations during your session.

  • Yes. We specialize in identifying the cause of ranking drops and helping you recover—whether it's due to a redesign, algorithm update, content shifts, or technical issues.

During your session, we’ll review your site, audit recent changes, and outline exactly what needs to be fixed or adjusted. In many cases, the solution is straightforward—but not always obvious.

  • Yes. Many businesses come to us after unsuccessful attempts with other freelancers or agencies.

We specialize in course-correction, cleanup, and fast resolution—whether that means fixing broken work, finishing what's been started, or starting fresh the right way.

  • Probably not. Most free audits are generic, superficial, and often misleading. They flag non-issues, miss what actually matters, and exist mainly to sell software or services.

We focus on real problems and proven solutions—not automated noise.

  • Not necessarily. Some sites benefit from a move to 7.1. but others are better off staying on 7.0, depending on layout, features, or functionality. There’s no SEO gain from switching platforms alone. If your site isn’t performing well on 7.0, it will still struggle on 7.1 unless core issues are addressed (content, structure, UX, etc.).

Most newer designers only work in 7.1 and may not be familiar with the unique benefits available in 7.0 We can help you assess whether a move is the right call—and if so, whether it’s a quick transfer or part of a larger redesign.

  • No. Most small businesses don’t need SEO software or plugins.

During your session, we’ll show you free or low-cost tools you can use to monitor your site when needed—without paying for expensive software you won’t use.

  • You have a few options, depending on how you prefer to work:

    1. Start with a full-day session. We’ll address foundational issues, identify opportunities, and scope out any additional work. This is often the most efficient first step for large or complex sites. Book this option above on our calendar.

    2. Pre-book multiple sessions. If you know you’ll need ongoing collaboration, you can pre-select dates over several weeks or months and pay upfront. This functions like a retainer and is more cost-effective than pay-as-you-go. Schedule a call to arrange for this option.

    3. Book multiple consecutive days. We offer substantial savings for booking full-day sessions back-to-back—ideal for major projects or site overhauls. Schedule a call to discuss your goals and get a custom quote.

  • Yes. If they introduced us, we are required to use the platform for invoicing.

  • If you're a new client, you (or someone with decision-making authority) will need to join an initial Zoom. It’s the fastest way for us to understand your business and your site—and we keep it efficient. If needed, we’ll follow up with a summary of updates made and additional recommendations.

Camera use is entirely up to you. We rarely use ours—we typically go straight to screen sharing and get to work.

  • If the service (marketing, web design, SEO, consulting, etc.) is related to your business, it’s likely tax-deductible. Check with your accountant to confirm how it applies to your situation.

  • We work with clients around the world. Most calls are scheduled weekdays between 9am and 3pm CT, but we can accommodate international time zones with start times between 8am and 6pm CT when needed.

If you don’t see a workable slot on our booking calendar, just reach out—we’re happy to find a time that works.

A time zone converter can also be helpful for planning.
