  • Indexing and Google visibility. “My site isn’t showing up,” “Google can’t find me,” “I was indexed and now I’m not.” The largest category by volume. The actual cause is often a redirect, a sitemap problem, or a misread Google Search Console report rather than indexing itself.

  • Google Search Console. Indexing reports, “alternate page with proper canonical tag,” verification confusion, phantom broken links. People trying to use GSC and getting stuck on what the reports mean.

Forum, AI, or Expert?

When you believe something is not working, a practical way to think about where to ask an SEO question:

  • Try AI for well-defined questions — “how do I X,” “what does this error mean,” “where is this setting.” A current AI tool will often answer correctly and faster than waiting for a forum reply.

  • The forum is useful for platform-specific quirks that may not be in AI training data like recent Squarespace bugs, undocumented behavior, things only other Squarespace users have hit. The forum can be very helpful because some experienced Squarespace professionals volunteer their time there. But that expertise is shared voluntarily, so it is not always available on demand.

  • Where both fall short is the layer in between: SEO advice that sounds right because it matches generic best practices, but is wrong for Squarespace, for the user’s situation, or based on common myths. AI tools confidently repeat generic SEO advice, and many forum replies repeat similar patterns, making it harder to distinguish informed guidance from pasted AI answers. Without experience, it’s difficult to tell when an answer is incomplete or misleading.

The general user forum primarily surfaces beginner and intermediate questions; advanced and technical SEO work tends to happen in client engagements and on our blog.
